In a new section of our news, Art Motile will be reporting on some of the variety of events residency programmes are offering, from exhibitions and presentations to workshops and open studios.

Fabra i Coats art factory is housing an exhibition of works made by eleven artists participating in “En Residència als instituts”, an art and education project initiated in 2010 to make contemporary art more accessible to secondary school students in Barcelona.

Artists participating in the three editions of the project have been developing specific proposals aimed at getting students to participate in and learn from the artistic process, as well as encouraging them to reflect on and analyse contemporary art.

Fabra i Coats, located in the district of Sant Andreu, was a former textile factory acquired by the City Council of Barcelona in 2005 and turned into a cross-cultural art factory for performing and visual arts, and includes an audio-visual laboratory.

The artists participating in “En Residència” are:

Daniel Chust Peters, Salvador Juanpere, Lluís Sabadell Artiga & Ecosistema Urbano, Margarita Andreu, Mar Arza , Josep-Maria Balanyà, Robert Ferrer i Martorell, Francesca Llopis, Isabel Banal, Tom Carr, Vicens Casassas.

Dates:
